h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Felt somewhat betterer today. - yesterday I cheated and took only 15 MG of hydrocortisone (below theraputic/clinical dose), so today, I took only 10 MG - please don't tetll my Drs they'd be ever so cross

Today was... *counts* day day four of rebuliding the inside of the house.


There was more sanding, earliy in the day, more hoovering too and more sanding.

So we went out (yes able to leave the house within two hours of taking meds...).
walked up and voted, thence to GP surgery for W to pick up a letter for him, that wasn't there

Then to a DIY store.

We looked at Doors again, door furnature, real wood wooden flooring, machined real wood flooring, and laminate... nah... that laminate is ... orible... the real wood is very nice... but, actually I prefered the feel and W the look, of some of the machined stuff, which is cheaper than the realwood stuff, albeit a lot more pricey than the laminate stuff
Then we looked at kitchens. OK. I have* to Hve* those worktops we saw... tey were gorgeous, and will be so good to clean...
oh, we have* to Have that sink we saw and the taps ,
Then looked at some units found the most coolest ones ever I've seen... sort of 'rolle-back' top cubpards... the door rolls back/up on it, rahter than opening outwards < and with glass shelving in some of them (easy to clean)... not totally decided on units, but getting some good ideas... Think we'll gor for the slightly sdeeper worktop too and the not having a hob at all in th e worktop - instead having the induction hob, as a stand alone thing we can keep in the cupboard when not in use, to maxamise worktop space

Oh, then we went and got what we'd come in for; a lamp, lampshade, plus bulb, and 6 ceiling light fittings


By the time we got home, most of the sanding was finished, and he'd actually started today on the varnishing/staining the floors

Monday, or wednesday I think plasterer is coming in tomorrow more varnishing on upstairs floors, then he'll start painting and ... soon we might have a bedroom

over the weekend shall empty the front room (I have no idea where we are putting the stuff), so the plaster work can be done, and thence the front room painted, into next week

got to get up early in the morning, get a bus about 8 to hospital and go have bloods taken and speak to the endocrine nurses about drugs and stuff and see if they can figure anything out

Still wearing the loverly new cotton light summer dress i got in teh charity shop a day or so ago was loverly and warm out, just wearing that, and leggings earlier today, so nice to feeel like there is sume warmth out again at last
