Naa, not out of line at all smiley - smiley
I'm not quite sure yet if they will want to cut my head open again; I've a sinus, the sphenoid sinus (the one like right in the middle of the head/brain), which is all bunged up and not draining how it shoudl be; They found the problem by accident when doing an MRI scan when I was having my hearing checked out; and the sinus problem mgiht* be related to my hearing being not quite right for a while smiley - wah
I've had a ton of neuro/brain surgery before years ago when I ahd a major accident, so I'm pretty unworried about opperations like this which arn't anywhere near as major as when I had opperations for brain haemoridges and such like smiley - biggrinsmiley - scientist Anyhow, not sure yet if they'll want to opperate or not, have to go see the new consultant; before I was seeing the hearing doctors, and then the nose doctors, but because I've had a whole bunch of opperations before on my head they want me to see the neurosurgins next smiley - yawn I just hope they don't drag it out too* long, as this seems to have been ongoing now for ages smiley - groan
smiley - biggrinsmiley - boing But I'm not like ill or anythign really so they may decide to not opperate smiley - weird

well, that's a relief. I thought maybe they were going to do a brain transplant or something. I mean, i think you're kinda cool, and i'd hate to see you having like, tony blair's unused brain or something.

glad to hear its not that serious. smiley - smiley

Well I had the appointment and met with the neurosurgin person, adn they're going to communicate with the people in the Ear Nose throat department to see if they can do any neat non invasive endoscopic way of treating it, if not then they probably won't want to opperate as its seemingly not causing any symptoms and as the opperation would be fairly major, they don't want to do that unless ther eis a need... But if they can do it with the endoscopy way, then that will be cool to get it sorted,a and I think that would probalby only be a day patient type treatment so in and out and just some local anasetic and the tubes up my nose I guess to gain access to the sinuses and then drain them smiley - yuk I guess they'd probably want to 'cap' the sinus;' basically stick a hole in the top of it or the bottom of it so it'd then be able to drain and so not get full of mucus again smiley - yuk And they're going to do another MRI or CAT scan in October, as that will six months after the origional scan that foudn it; so they can see if its a static thing, or it its changing... They currently think its probably been there a good ten years or so, well, since 1993 when I had the origionall road traffic accident and all the origional head opperations smiley - vampiresmiley - doctorsmiley - biggrin

well... thats nice smiley - erm. I hope things go well, 2legs, and that your mucus can drain with ease (i think that would make a lovely toast at a wedding or something, don't you?)
Noninvasive is the way to go, for sure, why cut open your melon if they can just stick a tube up your nose?

best of luck, 2legs. I'm off to the wilds to go camping for a few days.
