Hiya.

While sat on my sofa, being assisted in my reading by Buttons my cat, in between his assaults on the mouse and his attempts at typing, we came across your page. He particularly liked the picture of your cats and kept trying to get back to it! He wanted to say 'kujj bgcvd sa' to them. That is what he typed anyway and I think it is a friendly greeting approximating to 'Hello' but he ate our Babel fish a long time ago, preferring it to tuna!

PS did you see the bit about Nick Cave in this months 'Q'?

Hi!

My cats (called Pebbles and Bambam by the way) wanted to type something iin return to Button's kind words, however they found that chasing birds in the garden was much more fun as was trying to trip me up by getting under my feet at the top of the stairs in a blatant attempt to claim ownership of the house...

However, it's very nice to hear from you! I didn't see the Nick Cave stuff in 'Q'. Was it complemenatry or were 'Q' doing their usual "We're going to try to be trendy by slagging off anyone apart from Radiohead, Travis and REM" trick? smiley - winkeye

Hi Chig

Pebbles, Bambam and Buttons would get on so well. Buttons latest 'trick' is to bring me dead rabbits in the middle of the night - Oh joy. He has also taken to rugby tackles when I am carrying food in the hopes that he will like whatever falls on the floor. I have long since given up claim to it being 'my house' I know I only get to stay as long as it is OK with Buttons! He often forgets who goes out to work to earn cat food tokens smiley - sadface

I guess there are no points for guessing the origins of your cats names. I would like to point out at this stage that Buttons is a rescue cat so was christened before he adopted me. He was badly abused as a kitten and his ex owner was prosecuted by the RSPCA - he is fine now apart from a morbid fear of hairbrushes and a daft name!

The Nick Cave thing was not too bad considering where it was published - It was a series of reader's questions and his answers. If you would like me to send it to you let me know & I will send you an email...

I have just been awarded the title of 'Keeper of Questions and all things Purple' and I am quite excited about it smiley - smiley so here is a special question just for you

'Apart from cats and cartoons what else do you enjoy?'
