The man across from me is watching porn while other people talk really loud about the stuff that they're looking at on the computer from different aisles.
Oh, the joys of public libraries.
I am going to walk the other way, eat my lunch and get this report done that I need to get a leg up on.

I mean, there are worse things in the world but couldn't he at least have the decency to do that in private in his own home instead of in public where everybody else has to see?
Little kids go to this library too sometimes. Meh...

Well, the thing of it Andrew is one time a long time ago I argued with a fellow in a forum for a committee trying to decide what to do about it for a local library once.
We both agreed that it was obscene people did so in public and that it would be better taste if they had to do that at least to do it in public but where this man and I disagreed was my stance was that filters alone wouldn't help eliminate the problem as a long term solution whereas his standpoint was that they would.
The problem with content filters is that they assume everything is properly labeled as what it is and I think the majority of them you would have to have someone manually add in each prohibited site to the list of things to restrict so if something was not categorized correctly there would still be exploits.
The bone of contention was I figured some of the perverts did it because of some sort of sense of alienation perhaps. That their public displays of innapropriate what-have-you were to try and get attention (maybe?).
I proposed there being more community activities so that people felt a bit more attached as a community.
As you can well imagine the committee wasn't very happy about that. They pretty much ignored my idea and continued to argue back and forth about whether to get a stricter content filter or leave things as they were. I'm not sure how that ever turned out.
Committees.
Supposing the filter would have been a cheaper short term solution.
Oh well...

Oh well, it could be worse, at least there aren't people running around while carrying food or spilling drinks.
Meh...
