I was saddened yet also a touch unphased to realize that if I removed each person on my list of friends here where I was not also on their list that I would not have very many people left on said list.

Well, but I suppose perhaps on a level lil, that I was being friendlier with or toward them than they felt towards me?
This is all virtual though. I am probably overthinking it just a tad.

It depends on how busy they are, hunny
Not everyone has time to read all the journals put up by their friends. I don't have everyone on my list either. Not that I don't like them, nor want them as friends. It just becomes impossible to keep up with everyone, my own threads and my other activities in Hootoo
lil xx

Lil's right, thorn.
That Friends List is to me an imposition - like Valentine's cards, or something.
It just leads to blackmailing people into doing something to 'prove' they like you.
My convo list is so spammed with AWW fiction it's hard to keep up sometimes.
Doesn't mean you don't like somebody because you haven't subscribed to their journal.
You guys are lucky...I don't write in my own journal much.
I put the stuff in entries... Or go talk to the one I think might want to hear something in particular...

True. Just, was a touch worried I'd done some things to piss people off. Am I allowed to say that on a BBCi site?

I always worry about frustrating people unnecessarily or without meaning to. It's a bit of a bother to clean up afterwards.

It's an interesting question, Thorn... not everybody expresses friendship in the same way or to the same degree, but it doesn't mean they aren't friendly.

That's true Mr. S. Hmm... I wonder sometimes. Things like this I suppose.

Hey, I nearly removed you when you wrote four or five journals in one day - that was just flooding my Conversations list

Thorn Posted Aug 3, 2008
I never thought of it that way Mala. You and some of the others bring up a good point.

That's not to say we don't like you - but just as a small tip...
I think one problem in communicating with you is that you post too often in a row without waiting for a reply, which gives whoever you're talking to the distinct feeling that you're not interested in what they have to say.
This isn't a chat room - that's another thing that's great about hootoo - so slow down! Preview your post, read over it, make sure it says everything you want it to say before posting and wait a reasonable amount of time to post again if there's no response - a day, not a minute You'll be making things easier on us, and on yourself, too!
