Hello, you've reached the PS of thornthedruidguy. I may not be available to take your call right now (which is why the 'answering machine' has been set up), but if you could please leave your [screen]name and message after the tone I will get back to you as quickly as I can*. Thanks and have a nice day, }beep!{

*I will be on my deviant art page fairly often updating and sorting out some files though, and those of you who already know how to contact me otherwise,- can. Okay, thanks.
Schoolwork demands more time and attention than it has in the past; I want to get an undergraduate BS degree pretty badly and am at the second semester of my last year as an underclassman, so I need to get better at some things. Thanks.

Thanks. When I do get back to Beta I think I'll have a better grasp on having my character behave more like a military scientist and a bit less like a civilian one happening to be in a military related/associated department.
This semester has been a little rough so far & I'd like to get back here soon.

Eh... I'm alright. *shrug* [A] Little [bit] frayed around the edges, behind in some things but I'll sort of manage. Or at least try to as best I can.

No, not yet, but Morgan is pregnant and will soon get a new tabby. But she didn't tell the officers. That will get interesting.
Maccy and Bruni are still on their mission and Tanna and Herriot just returned from Pelion where they visited the centaurs. Quirinus and Sylvana Larris were there, too and Eli and Kyra are still there.
That's mainly it.
Oh, and Schrödinger ran away, also to Pelion.

I wanna ask Dmitri if I can get added back onto his friendslist. }sigh{ I really want to get back into this. Somehow. One way or other. I hope my attempt at a solution is alright. It.. may seem a bit rash, but it helps tie up loose ends I had left in a way that may not necessarily clog up the rest of the game in reguards to the story going on itself.
*W00t* Egads, I forgot how fun and things Beta can be almost.
Abominable studies and learning how to play a wargame while I was improving on my artwork and falling behind in artclass seem to have kept me busy.

Well, you can just say the doctor did his work all the time. Such important things like battles and so aren't just mentioned. You'd have to *play* it, tell more about it. And getting the doctor promoted would be unfair to all of us. Lens would be Commander then, I think. Hardly anyone is Commander, and he just hasn't got what's neccessary for a promotoion, sorry, I'm not for that.
Just say Lens was quiet and did his work when you want to come back.

How would inventing an entire war not clog up the story? Sorry, but your best option is to simply say life went on as usual

I wanted to have him duck out for awhile and come back with some personality development somehow. Not a war, more like... a conflict of some nature or another... but that idea, well...
in light of the contexts pointed out by you, Tavaron and Kyra
yeah, that doesn't/wouldn't really help solve things either.
