Corinth

I never got to read it, but it wouldn't surprise me.

If what Corinth said in the main thread, about the Indian beauty in the moodlight, is true, then perhaps, Autumn, our work is done here.
Love conkers Saul!

We'll still have to see about her taste in armagnac, but I'm hopeful.

smiley - wahsmiley - cuddle I'm really really happy for you Corinth.
(Doesn't the juxtaposition of mahogany skin and ivory skin look wonderful?)
But surely if she's a Moslem she doesn't drink smiley - stiffdrink?

(BTW if she's a Moslem isn't she Pakistani rather than Indian?) - Sorry, one has a reputation for pedantry to uphold smiley - geek (but I guess it's better than having a reputation for pederasty smiley - winkeye)

So who's Soupy Sales then guys? Is this a reference to something before my time? smiley - tongueout

FYI: My rat cheesed memory of Soupy Sales includes mostly B&W TV images of a natty jewish car saleman type with a loud tie and jacket doing stand up comedy on live television way back in the late fifties early sixties. He may have gone on to do his own 'kids show' because I have him cross referenced in my brain files as 'juvenile', 'corny' and 'schtick' - kinda like the Krusty the Clown of his day.

Perhaps Corinth's memories are kinder or more precise.

(Somehow my imagination is placing Corinth and his Asian beauty on a boardwalk in New Orleans or San Antonio Texas. I realise this is probably totally irrelevant because I'm just happy they found each other, but I just wanted to make that personal note in case I ever get a chance to further research how these mystical things work.)

Hmm. Tanks John-boy - The soupy guy's definitely before my time.

Well, on that note, I'm off to do some more stripping. (It's that ol' smiley - fullmoon effect again)

To clarify, she was born in Arabia to Indian parents who subsequently moved to Pakistan. No she doesn't drink. And Soupy sales is krusty the klown.

Ah! Moslems who were chucked out of India during partition. As clarified as ghee. Thank you.

~jwf~ wondering if a little support from h2g2 friends has created a new man or if Corinth has always scored big and is just bragging to a sympathetic crowd...

I swear, yesterday was the first time I'd ever done anything of the like. I don't know what came over me. She was just so beautiful that I overcame my timidity. Imagine that.

So if this is a first time action, tell us again then how the Indian girl from two days ago picked you up and took you BBQing?

Excuse me, the 4th of July girl is another one entirely. She just thought I was a cute old man and invited me to her parents' house for the bbq. She had a boyfriend, which made the situation disappointing.
The Indian girl I met on the internet.
Yesterday's love was another altogether, and the first time I've been able to just approach a young lass out of the blue.

That's because the previous happenings had restored your confidence. People with confidence attract others. Confidence makes you stand straighter, smoothes out the worry-lines, restores the twinkle in your eye and the spring in your step. You knew you could do it, so you did.

Me old mum, god bless her twisted soul, used to say "Them as has, gets." She was talking about money from a Depression Era concept, but it also works for other things, like friends, relationships, sexually transmitted diseases... oops. (Just kidding.)
It's true, confidence and happiness lead to happiness and confidence. It's getting the ball rolling that is hard to do. But now, buddy, you're on a roll!
