Right that's it. I am fed up now.

I want to go home. I want to go home now!!! I am fed up of being stuck here in London and not being at home with my family during the biggest crisis to hit our warm cosy existence since 1967.

I am fed up of seeing the headlines in the papers. Fed up of seeing today's Evening Standard showing all the sheep being lined up for slaughter. This two face media circus who spend their whole time criticisng field sports but are quite happy to show animals being slaughtered in inhumane conditions as long as it sells papers. Fed up of the preachy attitudes of the vegitarian lobby, who seem to be under the impression that we are getting what we deserve.

I miss my Mum. I want to hug my Dad and brothers. I want to go to bed in my little room under the eaves, with the fire embers glowing behind the safety guard and the dogs curled up on the floor. I want Charlie, my horse and most of all I want the cows. I want to be with them just in case I don't get to say goodbye. I want to get up early and walk among the herd, feeling their soft damp breath on my hands. I want to run my hands over the smooth glossy bodies.

But instead I am stuck here. Going into work each morning, and checking the news sites daily to find out whether the outbreak has come any nearer to the farms. I guess given that the epidemic is going on til August, I cannot really hold out much hope that we will be lucky and escape. smiley - sadface

But then again, hope is my middle name....
