Lola is such a bimboni.
Truthfully, I'm growing weary of the entire rollplaying bit. I'm not particularly creative at the moment.
What I need to be creative about is eggplant.I have enough for seven families of 9.

Not just 7 families of 6 ? (42 !!!)
Remember where you are my love.
I'll roll and play again whenever you wish - can understand your present lack of enthusiasm.
If they stay on that bus for another year, into 1967 they can all go to San Francisco and wear some flowers in their hair
Remember 'Nil desperandum carborundum' Don't let the b......s get you down.

Be careful of the Latin police will get you.
We're having a cooler than normal weekend for early August. It feels more like late September. Which is very nice. I have a hard time coping with really hot weather.
I am going to do some judicious yikesing of past conversations over the weekend. The editors may not permanently remove them, but I'm going to give it a shot. Then I will turn this U# over to Pete, unsubscribe to all of the convos, wipe out the journal entries, and move myslf - a more discreet version of myself to another U#, which I will e-mail you.

H2G2 is playing me up today. I signed in, answered your posting and was then told I couldn't post it until I signed in.
I couldn't get my personal space and have had to wait half an hour to get back through.
I hope your exit from Hypatia goes according to plan - please keep me in touch - I don't want to loose my favourite librarian !!!
When I got up this morning the sun was shining from a cloudless sky and now we are in the middle of a real heavy summer storm - I had to run A along to her friends house in the car (just gone for coffee).
I have made use of that half hour wait by doing my ironing - shirts, underwear etc. so I should be in relative good books when I go to bring her back.
see you, love, jazz

I have had a horrible time posting. And then I had emergency meetings to attend. And F is really unwell. So, no one has heard from me much. His bloodwork didn't find anything major - some anemia, but not severe. The doctor is sending us for a brain scan tomorrow afternoon. He suspects a mild stroke. So, we'll see.
Dang! A man who irons! I am truly impressed.
Talk to you later.

I'm told that some folks freak out during a CT scan. He did fine with it. His doctor is supposed to get the results in 3-5 days. I don't know whether I hope they find something or hope they don't. If they find nothing, then it is probably Alzheimer's or vascular dementia. But I don't see how that would sap his energy level and make him want to sleep all the time. Or make him cold all the time.
He's craving iced cream big time. He has eaten more ice cream in the past three months than he has in the past three years. It's positively weird. And I'm having a hard time getting him to eat fruit. This is a man who ate fruit constantly. It's the only thing he ever snacked on. And he doesn't want to eat meat anymore. He'll eat a bite or two and then give the rest of it to the s or the . He still eats his veggies, but isn't interested in salad anymore. For years he had a green salad for his lunch. Now, he doesn't want salad. It really is strange.

Sorry to hear of Fs problems - seems like there's no rhyme or reason to it all.
Keep me informed, I worry for you both. You certainly have your share of problems.

No news yet. I hope the doctor doesn't call F and tell him what the results were, because he'll never remember.
We have had wonderful weather for August. It has been about 15ยบ cooler than normal. Today it is getting hot again. Mu computer at home is currently internetless. I'm waiting for AOL to mail me an installation disk.

Sorry I must keep my comments short because of the presence downstairs.
I hope you get back into the internet at home shortly - but more important I hope you get better news of F.
I'm out all day tomorrow at my Scribes meeting but will keep in touch as I can.

F's CT scan was normal. Apparently our brains shrink a little with age, and that was the only thing that showed up. I have an appointment for him this Monday with his GP to 'discuss options'.
He has perfectly lucid periods and then will just get wiped out for several hours. Then he'll be relatively ok again.
I'm planning for an afternoon meeting. Better get busy.

Well Hypatia it's the start of a new week.
Hopefully a bit more settled than the last few days. We've been looking after my daughter's dog and the house just hasn't been the same. Don't know how you cope with all your animals.
Keep me informed as to progress with F and the medics.

I adore animals - especially cats. But anythihg fury or feathered can find a safe haven here. On the other hand, I'm getting really tired of the mess made by a sick cat. I've had her for 13 years and so will put up with it, but it would be wonderful to have a really clean house again.
I've threatened to rip out the carpets altogether. I have finished oak floors under the carpeting. But F throws a fit everytime I suggest it. I've shampooed them so often that there are ridges in them now where they're stretching.
And F is messy, messy these days. He never picks up anything...won't throw anything away...wants all of his stuff on a table or counter or bureau top where he can see it and find it easily.
I come home from work and find a mess. It's very frustrating. Then by the time I fix dinner and clean up the kitchen I'm too tired to care whether I clean it up or not.
His doctor's appointment is in 4 hours. It will take me that long to get him motivated enough to shower and shave. He went right back to bed as soon as he had his breakfast.

We've taken the dog back to the in-laws to be looked after until this week end when the family comes back from holiday in France, so our house is tidy and clean once more. Ailsa has mostly no carpets in their house - the wooden floors seem cold to me (and noisy) but we have wall to wall carpet everywhere except the kitchen.
Our house is not untidy but I do note when we come back in, if there's a chair without anything on it, it soon becomes occupied by a handbag, shopping bag or something.
I can understand your frustration, I cannot stand untidy, when A is cooking she leaves everything lying and soon you cannot find anything without hunting around - I always tidy up - washing up to the right of the sink, washed on the drainer to the left and back in it's proper place as soon as dried.
I hope you got good news of F yesterday after his medical.
I've had news of two deaths this morning - my caligraphy friend with leukemia and a neighbour down the street with cancer, so I'm going out in the sunshine to teak oil some garden furniture.
Jazz.

Cancer is a rough way to die. That is a disease we should spend much more on for research. I'm sorry you lost your friends.
I've been meaning to e-mail you with details on F's condition. I owe my brother and sister both e-mails as well. And I owe my grandson a letter. I'm hopeless. Sorry.
I'm taking tomorrow off work because it is F's birthday. His driver's license is expiring and I need to take him over to get it renewed. I'm trying to talk him out of it, but he thinks he needs it. He hasn't driven for over two years, so I think it's a waste of time.
Anyway, I'm going to make it a point to catch up in my e-mails tomorrow. So check your inbox.
I posted over at Never Again. If Pinniped wants to start it up again, I gave him an opening. I didn't know if you were still subscribed to it or not. The time travel angle has possibilities, but it is Pin's thread so I don't know whether to go ahead and try to keep it going or not.
It's getting late. I need to clean up the kitchen and then try to relax for a bit.

Thanks for your contact again - don't worry about not replying straight back love. I know your situation is too busy and am prepared to wait
Hope your day off goes well - get the licence, he doesn't need to use it - and it probably makes him feel better !!!

Well, I obviously didn't make it with the e-mails. Not yours or anyone elses. I'll try when I get home. Honest.
