If you live in the uk, you have no problem. you can call yourself something different every day if you like (as long as it is not for fraudulent purposes). The only places that will need the original name are official forms, and if you are prepared to pay 25 pounds, they can change there too.

oh behave 
to paraphrase, if you are a uk resident, it costs you NOTHING for everyday use, and 25 pounds for it to be used on official forms as well.
