How are you doing?
Hope all's going well. Mags was here this weekend and sends her regards.

Hello again!
I'm fine - I've been offline lately due to the move to Sidmouth. I'm here clearing out my old flat in Paignton tonight (my old PC is still here). I can't get on the net at Sidmouth yet - it apparently takes BT a month to reconnect a phone line which isn't actually physically disconnected .
Please say hi to Mags for me!

Hope the move went well. What's your new place like?
Did you see the pictures of that factory roof in Pen y Groes? It's been v. windy here too. The rain is peeing in the Utility Room.( back porch, but it had capital letters in the estate agents details - so it MUST be true!!)

Estate Agents are always to be believed, of course.
I didn't see those pictures. The weather's been fairly inclement down here, too, as you may have seen.

Weather is Richard's latest hobby - doh! Personally, weather = geography A level or 'is my washing going to get dry?
You're being very cagey about your move!

Not intentionally. It's gone pretty well, though I still have various things to bring up from Paignton. I also need to buy various things - I desperately need bookcases for instance, as I have umpteen crates of books stacked here.
I rather enjoyed A-level Geog!

A levels seemed so important at the time! It was years ago now! We're so bloody old!!
Done all your Christmas shopping yet? (No 'bah humbug' smiley!) I'm finding it very difficult not to buy loads of toys that I'd like, and to keep to: a) a budget or b) stuff the boys would like!
Got a whole pile of cakes still to decorate and loads of other food related stuff still to do.
Hope your flat's coming together. I've still got boxes of books up in the attic. We've been here three years!

Well, the flat's slightly more furnished than last time we 'spoke', though I stll need a few things up here. I do have some bookshelves now, which I thought took priority over daft things like tables and chairs!
It's a while since we've had a new smiley on h2g2; maybe I'll go and pester them for a 'bah humbug' one. I know I'd use it.
I do exactly the same when I'm Christmas shopping. I do tend to actually buy the 'toys' I want for myself, though, and then end up going over-budget buying the presents I was originally looking for. By the way, I'm sure you know me better after twenty-two years than to believe that I'd have done ANY Christmas shopping yet! I expect I'll be dashing up to Exeter on December 23rd, as usual.

Twenty two years? Bloody hell! Was it really that long ago?
Hope your Christmas was great. Did you get home? We had a lovely time - boys were really good and loved their prezzies.
Back to normal now, kitchen empty of cakes, but it will soon be time for valentines and Easter goodies! (did I tell you that I bake as a sideline?) A fortnight ago, I didn't EVER want to see another fruitcake!! - Then I looked in the mirror! (thanks to Claire for that highly original joke!)
Stella and Holly left for Italy a week ago. All going well, except all her stuff is stuck in a container somewhere!
Have a great New Year!

I'm afraid it is that long, unless I've lost count somewhere!
Glad to hear you all had a good Christmas. Ed and I actually went up to London to stay with Len and his wife Terri, which was a first for me. I had a very nice time, but I could honestly have done without the travelling. As a result of being away I still have plenty of cake and puddings which I'd already laid-in before changing my arrangements. I wouldn't ever call you a fruitcake of course - more of a nutcase in my opinion!
A very happy New Year to you and yours, too!

Did you meet Polly? Go on, admit it - she's cute isn't she? I never thought that I'd be one of those people, but I do get all gooey around babies!
Are you still involved with steam trains? It's weird for me, coming from an all girl family, but I can now name most of Thomas The Tank Engine's friends, and even remember quite a few of their stories.
Come to think of it, most of our relatives were girls too, that's why Mark and Christopher where such a shock! Do you have any female cousins or are you a boy family?
I'm feeling a bit 'd out after Christmas. Still, it seems a shame to waste it, so here goes!!
