Well, if the trains are on strike like Ian says, maybe we can arrange something through e-mail... I will be in the UK another time, I promise....

...I'm regretting that I left England now... I know things are GREAT with school and my little writing career. I guess just now I miss him too much....

Don't worry, I'm sure you'll be together again soon. It's a shame you can't find any suitable college courses over here. THIS COUNTRY NEEDS DRAGONFLIES!

This Dragonfly needs her money.... it's not a desperate matter(I mean, look at all the world travelling I plan to do soon!!!), but I do NOT want to pay off any loans...
::sniffles::
It's really not wise for me to leave my college, either. I'm very close to being established as a staff writer, and I'm becoming quite familar with the English Department... I love it there...
I just really miss my dearheart right now...
I've almost made it through Valentine's....
Thank you SO MUCH for responding. It's good to talk to you. I have another friend online, but he's not as mature as you.
Would try talking to my mom, but she's very cynical about love. It's gross.

I'm sure your mum just worries - that's what mothers do, even laid-back ones like mine!
Much as I'd love you to move over the pond, I think you're right to see your studies through, really. Sometimes it's best to put your head before your heart, though heaven knows I'm not a good example on that score.
It's always a pleasure to talk to you, and I hope you know you can always talk to me.

YAY!!!
Yes!!!
Ian's a WONDERFUL guy... I am amazed frequently... He seems to be more patient about the moving issue than I am... of course, that could be for my benefit. But he and I agree that my studies come first.
And my studies are very exciting to me(not always, but I do prosper from them!!! THEY KEEP ME ALIVE!!! YAY!!!).... YAY!!!
The two or so years I have left in Denver will also help my parents get used to the idea of me moving over the pond. Is that a coherent sentence!??
My aunt says that "[RLnickname] will visit us more than [her uncle], and he lives in Virginia!!!". She's mad at him, understandably. But he's a professor with a wife and two kids. And everyone knows that professors DON'T get paid enough!!!
Did I mention that if I study in England I will have to prove the need and ability to work while a student!?? I think I might have in my Fan Club... I don't like the idea of not working while studying, and I imagine that school is more challenging and time consuming abroad... My point being I would only WANT to be a student...
But the disadvantages of not working while a student are a)less money, and b)Working helps you remember why you are earning a degree...

Well today I found out I need to prove myself worthy of a merit raise. We have new management now. The old management promised me a merit raise in early December. Understandably, the new management needs evidence....
Oh, who am I kidding!??? It is a bit s**t, isn't it!??
Well, this current treatment from my job has caused me to re-evaluate my life. A year from now, I plan to no longer be working at Wal*Mart and have an internship in publishing instead. Or work parttime for the school newspaper. I need to make steps toward my real career. The money and the retirement plan a job for Capitalism provides aren't quite worth it...
::sigh::

Good for you!
I had a similar problem with a promised payrise which disappeared with a change of management. It was quite a while before I managed to recover it - the second manager left and a friend of mine was acting manager, and passed the raise just before a new permanent manager was appointed (he didn't have to take responsibility for the wage budget!)

Hi there Draggers!
I suspect you may be interested in this link to my favourite museum anywhere, which I revisited a couple of days ago... (if I'm wrong in thinking you might like it please accept my apologies, no offence intended - I'm just basing my assumptions on comments you've made in the past...)

It's a fascinating place, especially if visited with an open mind.

The museum itself is one of the strangest places I've been...
...and Boscastle itself is worth a visit if ever you return to these shores...
