New Chum
From Australia, where we say Gd'day, I am a 1932 model Pommy resident in Oz for 50 years.Born in Scotland, brought up in London, studied medicine in Edinburgh in the fifties but flunked out half way through. Relatively new to computers, self taught and probably showing it. Long time real estate agent in Melbourne, long retired; keen touring campervan enthusiast. Married ( more than once!) grandfather of a world- scattered brood. Love all things to do with words, crosswords, Scrabble, etcetera. Wish we had the BBC here as our poor old ABC is criminally underfunded, but what-the-hell,I can still grab chunks of Beeb on the net. Absolutely no interest in sport, pop-music,film after about 1970; prefer the world as it was - a real old nostalgia freak. Enjoy a good argument- doorknocking evangelists have been known to tire before I do. If you have any questions about Oz I will do my best to answer them honestly- where the laws of libel permit!

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
