It was fun wasn't it. We have our first Big Brother going now. A few nights ago when it was pouring with rain, two guys scaled the wall to the BB house and stole the garden gnome.
Our best local radio station pleaded with the perpetrators to phone them. This morning the owner of a pub called in to say he has the gnome and the 'thieves' are 2 of his regulars. The radio station immediately set up an email address for companies to place bids for the right to name the gnome and return it to BB. The money will be donated to the farm animal unit of the SPCA.
The bidding is closing in 1 minute.....waiting so I can add the winning bid info.....
...and the winning bid is R150 000.00 made by Legal Wise who also said they would donate another R150 000.00 to the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund!!
So the most expensive garden gnome in the world lives in Johannesburg, South Africa!
