Advice please from hootoo's biggest bootlegger.
I've been using the original Bit Torrent clients for yonks, but it seems since the latest update to be something of a system hog, to the extent where I can't play games at the same time because of lag.
What client would you recommend, and does it cause you any lag?

Azureus 2.5 is the one that I use.
I think that there is a version 3 out there, but that one as I understand it is configured for a legal / pay file sharing site that the Azureus people are working on. Therefore I'm not going to update to that version until it's all sorted out.
Yes, I do get lag with the client. But I get around this by running it when I'm not using the computer: overnight, office hours that sort of thing.
It's a question as to whether you're prepared to have your computer working away when you're not in the house. I've never had one burst into flames on me, but I suppose it only takes one...

Well in that case it's best not to leave it alone, so you're stuck with a slow client.
Of course you could go out and get your PC fixed. A new PSU is about £70 the last time I looked.
