Interesting story in the Observer this morning about a man who appealed against a speeding conviction. http://observer.guardian.co.uk/cash/story/0,,1702281,00.html
The article also gives advice from "Solicitor Nick Freeman - known to the tabloids as 'Mr Loophole' - (who) specialises in getting celebrities off motoring offences. His client list includes David Beckham, Sir Alex Ferguson, Shaun Ryder and Colin Montgomerie."
He has his own website http://www.freemankeepondriving.com/home.asp with some advice and subscription of £4.99 a month for the full cover.

Ooops! I missed this one. Sorry
I don't think much of his prices. A fiver a month is the equivalent of one full 3-point penalty a year. If you were in the territory of picking up that number of points, then you'd be on the verge of being banned; and you'd be uninsurable to drive. So the guy is going for a very limited market.
The last time I talked to my insurers I asked them about points on the licence. They said that they ignored 3-points as just one of those things that happens. Even 6-points wouldn't affect the quote that much - about a 3% premium on my quote.
