So why the latest name change then?

A long and boring story, and since I am in a Shakespearian mood, it is enough to say that it is full of sound and fury, but I don't really know what it signifies.

I have always liked Quentin Crisp's approach to Hamlet, he refused to see it on the grounds that he had seen it before, and knew how it ended.

It is one of those tedious things, which does not merit the apparent mystery surrounding it.

On a considerably more entertaining subject - errant Tory MPs - don't miss Louis Thoreau and the Hamiltons on Tuesday night. That has got to be the best tv of the year to date!

Are you going to the January Meet? I am dithering, but likely to be there, and it would be entertaining to meet you.

Oh yes, Tuesday night is pencilled in alright Answerphone set, doorbell disconnected and 'puter switched off. I really love the guy's style, his studied innocence seems to draw his subjects (victims?) into revealing far more than they ever would to anyone else. The Weird Weekend series have always been near the top of my viewing lists

I've decided that I'm definitely going to the January meet. I thought about going to the one back in July, but chickened out. At the time I didn't know that many people around here and I was worried that I would feel some what cast adrift. Large social groups make me nervous at the best of times and didn't want to be in a crowd where I knew only a few, and only knew them by their pseudonyms anyway.

Well I have met PurpleJenny, Rainbow and Afrael already IRL, and I introduced W*****E to h2g2 in the first place. But when I went to the Glasgow meet there were so many people I did not know online that I found it quite tough. W****E and I sat and giggled through most of it.

There are more people I know better online at the January one, so I am looking forward to it. PJ and Rainbow are thinking about it, and I know more of the others.

I bought a video today so I could tape Louis for my ex-lodger who was a major fan, but who was in NYC and missed the Hamilton thing completely.

When I say video, I mean a video recorder, thereby dragging myself into the century of the fruitbat. I had intended waiting until the sales, but I couldn't not tape Louis and the Hamiltons!

Wow that's dedication. I had a fully functioning Betamax hanging around here until just recently that you could have had. It even came with a few blankish tapes.

I saw the photos of the Edinburgh thing, you looked like you were having a good time. Well at least you did in those few shots that you and W****E appeared in.

Well, as I said, I was going to wait till January, but...

The betamax wouldn't have been any good because the ex-lodger has VHS. Or I hope he has VHS or I will have spent 10% that I could have saved. Got to learn to programme the damn thing. You don't have a spare 10 year old child you could lend me, do you?

We did have fun, and it was a good night out. But I was very aware that I only knew about 6 of the 25 or so people there. It is hard not to have a good night out in Glasgow though, and W****E is one of my best friends.

I think I'm pretty much in the clear, unless it goes around a hospital in the West Midlands or a Housing Charity somewhere in Hackney. My work colleagues couldn't identify me from the thread and as I said earlier, I'm quite happy to *edit* my space should it show up and anyone get interested in navigating further around the site. I have an e-mail address on my space that would rather give the game away.
