really? It usually happens to me when I try to tell someone something and then I mess it all up by starting to bring things into the conversation that only makes sense to me

OK - to re-cap for galigan....
I invited lil to join The League and she mentioned that she did a little shapeshifting.
I made an unintentional pun about shapeshifting being quite "disarming", which I meant could disarm and opponent through surprise, but which could be because the shape to which lil shifts might have no arms.
lil grinned, making me realise the uninteded pun, so I apologised (for the pun).
lil thought I thought I might have caused offence (probably because she has had to calm me down from a couple of rather inflamatory encounters in other threads).
I therefore explained and from there even I am confused.
