Why I am here.
I'm here because I got 3 months free wireless access for christmas, which is kinda nice. Britannica don't have a WAP site (just a Palm app).
I guess I'd better tell you who I am if I'm gonna pose as some kind of researcher, and it's fairly simple really- taking a 'year out' of my university degree, or rather between the first half of 'Applied Computer Science and Cybernetics' and the second half of 'Multimedia Technology and Design'.
I live in England and my intrests include the extremes of: the Gaia (hypo)thesis, art in design (ok, that's stretching it a bit, but i am involved in a youth art project at Tate Modern), what an annoying self-publicist Kevin Warwick is, distributed agent-based computing as a paradigm of the ISO OSI model, I have a philosophy not unlike Mencius, and I like post-virtual communities like Skim, even if I have no taste. Kinda like a post-human only without the wires.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
