State Religion
Posted Nov 29, 2000
Earlier today, I was thinking about the ideal society when I came up with a question that I haven't yet been able to answer:
Is a state religion to best course for an ideal society?
Now, most people would automatically say no. But stay with me here.
By creating a state religion, it adds to national identity and therefore pride.
It also provides a way to keep the masses in control. This of course,
is also a con. It gives too much power to the government.
Anyway, those are some talking points. Comments?
