Short CV

I'm English so I apologise in advance for any colloqualisms with which you are not familiar. I am 69 years old and have been retired for 8 years after working for British Steel as a furnace hand, an eletrician's mate, a technical clerk and eventually as an Electrical Distribution System Control Engineer - none of which had any bearing on my academic career up to then which ended with scraping an Honours Degree in modern languages. I am married and live quietly in the beautiful county of Yorkshire (Cleveland to narrow it down). A couple of years ago I had a heart attack which resulted in hospitalisation for a quadruple by-pass operation. Since then I have been fine though the medication I am on means that my hands tremble somewhat, so if you find a surplus of letters in any word you will know why. I am still interested in language when I am not struggling with this wayward computer which at the moment will let me send e-mails but not receive them! Once this is cured I shall be happy to provide any further information which might be of interest but for now "have a good day"

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
