Hello to everyone out there from Lincoln, Nebraska, USA,
So this is h2g2, what an awesome idea, I really can't think of a better way to use the internet. Now what to say, they say write baout what you know so here goes:
I am a graphic artist and of course a big Hitchhickers fan. I live in Lincoln Nebraska, not the end of the world but you can see it from here. There are some really good places to eat just in case you ever get stuck here on your way to someplace more interesting. Try M&N Sandwitch Shop on 27th and Randolph if you like Chicago style deli sandwitches, remember your towel if you ask for extra juice though. If you like pizza don't listen to the masses in Lincoln and go to Valentino's, it is kind of a local legend around here but it is not the best pizza in town by any means. There are a couple places with far superior pizza. One is called Yai Yai's, a downtown bar, they have a much better selection of toppings than anyone else in town. The next next best place is Piezanno's on South Street. Well enough with the food, on to other things of interest.
There is a very good consolidated bar district in the downtown area, but this is only of value to you if you are under 30. Unless you like good music like blues and rock then go to the Zoo Bar downtown.
One of the best things about living in the middle of the United States is that we have numereous thunderstorms during the summer. This means a great opportunity for someone iterested in photography, like myself, to shoot things like lightning, and on a good day chase a tornado or two.
