Well, I haven't done anything to it yet I'll let you know if I make any substantial changes - shouldn't think I will though, I've only ever had to do that once!
I'm looking forward to this one - I've got two entries to work on at the moment, and I know nothing about the subject matter in either of them So hopefully I'll learn something!

I hope you'll enjoy it!
The Peer Review got into a lot of fun discussion about the Chinese and gunpowder. Let me know if I can do anything to help - do you read German?

Unfortunately not English, French and Spanish, yes - possibly Italian too, when I get to university - but German isn't one of my strong points. In fact the only thing I can say in German is something which I'm told means "I am a bus-stopping-place," and I've no idea how to spell it
I'll be over to the PR thread at some point to pick up on anything there

Why would you *want* to say 'Ich bin eine Bushaltestelle'? And what would happen to you if you did?
I only asked because two of the links are in German - but they're only there for the pictures, which I couldn't find in English. One is a link to the castle of Staufen, and the other is a link to the statue of Berthold Schwartz in Freiburg.

I had a friend who was learning German a few years ago, and he did like to come out with the most bizarre things... funnily enough, that's all I remember
I'm not too sure about the links - I'll ask about them on the Sub-editor's mailing list, once I've had a proper read-through of the whole entry. Too tired to do anything to it now, I'm afraid - I don't trust myself not to accidentally delete the whole thing, or something horrible like that!

Oh dear. Sorry about this; just after I spoke to you last, my connection went down and has sort of... died. I'm going to get this sent back so another sub can do it, otherwise it'll be ages before I get anywhere near it, and that's not fair. So you might have a bit longer to wait, but it would be even longer if I kept hold of it!
Sorry again,
Joe

Sorry about your computer problems!
Thanks for the heads-up - it's fine. It gets done when it gets done.
Hope your online problems get solved in a hurry.

As I've just posted to the mailing list - the advantage of living with an IT consultant is that computer problems usually get fixed pretty quickly; this one's got him stumped as well though!
Ah well, maybe a reboot will fix it. By which I mean I'll take it out in the garden and give it a good kicking
Your entry'll be reallocated - hopefully the new Sub will drop in to say hello at some point
