I don't think I can add more to this (except a link 
or two). I was surprised at first that a Yorkie wasn't recognised, but then I suppose it is a breed from across an ocean. A Yorkie is a different breed to a Silkie, though.

Yorkies are pretty common here these days, Silkies, too. I don't think they were during the war, though.

If you'd like to have a thorough read-through and let me know - I added a 
in the end, as otherwise the term 'Silkie' comes a bit out of the blue if you don't know 
breeds.
