How is the video channel doing? September wasn't a banner month or anything, but we got 390 views and 364 minutes watched, which is not too shabby.

I expect things to pick up this month because we have some exciting content.

I lucked up and got footage of some turkey vultures circling over the Post Office on a clear day. Turkey vultures are beautiful flyers.

Great footage of the nuthatch Fascinating to see the Turkey Vultures, too - amazing how many there were in the group Their flying style is like the Common Buzzard, but I've never seen more than two Common Buzzards soaring around like that

I like those turkey vultures - we'll call them 'buzzards' colloquially. They're mostly scavengers, which I truly respect, but they will also pick up small prey.

Which is why Hoggetts go into action when they see them. 'Quick!' And they all grab kittens and bring them indoors.
