Hi,
I seem to have come across you in a couple of conversation forums (peer review being the only one I can think of at the mo) and I just thought I'd drop you a line and say hi.
Also am I out of place when in peer review if no-one else has posted to advise a writer that peer review may not be the place for that article?
I only ask cos a couple of times I have said so (in as polite and sensitive manner as possible) and then a scout or a sub-ed has come along and said the exact same thing as I did.
(Maybe it's just to re-affirm what a normal researcher is saying, I hope)
Anyway, I'm sure we'll meet again.
Regards
KJ

Hey there KJ-
It's totally alright to tell authors that their work is better suited elsewhere. When several people chime in and say the same thing, it's just to support your point.
I think *I* may have commented on an article in PR that you've commented on. Everybody has their own way of redirecting an article, and every author responds in their own way, so a few voices might be heard clearer than one.

ps. I think we've crossed paths in the American Footies forum too. . .
