Oh noes! I am having to confess to being caught out!

When I was a teenager, I used to buy a music magazine called 'Disc'. It was a teenage rival to NME and Melody Maker. There was a strip cartoon in it which often referred to a character (who, so far as I can remember, we never saw). That woman was Agnes Quont of 29 the Mews, Penge.

For some reason then, over the intervening 35 years or so, whenever I have needed to refer to an anonymous person, Agnes has always sprung to mind.
