New to h2g2
I'm being urged by the site to write something about myself so here goes. I've been a fan of HHGTTG since the original radio series (so that should tell you roughly how old I am!) and also a fan of Douglas Adams' other creation Dirk Gently. I have worked in computing almost all my working life but sadly I'm being forced to give it up as I'm too old to get another job after being made redundant this June. In my personal life I have a fiancee and a retired guide dog who I love and I enjoy music - classical,folk,Pink Floyd music, and trying to play classical guitar. I am an avid reader of science fiction and I used to like the books of Robert Ludlum and Tom Clancy until they got a bit formulaic. I have ALL of Terry Pratchetts books and can't read enough of Tom Holt's books. We average going to the cinema approximately once a month (we're very picky about the films we go and see though) and I am a distant member of a local theatre group which I visit as much as I can when I'm back in their area.Latest Messages
