Welcome back to Oz!

Oooh, I see eyes! How's it going?
Welcome back to Oz!
Kyra Posted Dec 18, 2008
It's good - it's the last day of work, I'm trying to organise 3 interviews! That's more than I've had in the last 2 months.
Welcome back to Oz!
Malabarista - now with added pony Posted Dec 18, 2008
And then it's all at once, on the last day? That seems unfair
Last day of work for me tomorrow, too. Forever, in that job. Oh, well
Welcome back to Oz!
Kyra Posted Dec 18, 2008
Yeah, they've all come together over the last few days, I'm gonna have to organise it on my mobile.
I'm guessing that's bad then?
Welcome back to Oz!
Malabarista - now with added pony Posted Dec 18, 2008
Over your holidays? Will they pay you, at least?
Well, on the one hand, it was a good job, and I'll miss it. But it's actually kind of a relief not to have to work while I'm doing my thesis.
I'm simply doing more translations now, so I can save up and not work at all in February.
Welcome back to Oz!
Kyra Posted Dec 18, 2008
They'll give me the money I spend on my mobile, if I need it, and I'm already getting paid for the holiday. I don't mind doing it, if I organise interviews I might get commission later on.
Yeah, it's too exhausting to work and study.

Oooh, that sounds good! Paid holidays, and everything!
And I've noticed that, yes. Especially since we never get end-of-term breaks at Uni. Officially, we do, but every prof makes an exception and extends his or her courses through it

It's good here - we've got two weeks off that isn't included in our 4 weeks annual leave.
I couldn't go back to studying, no way.
Welcome back to Oz!

I think it's six weeks over here, too. But you get your Christmas holidays when it's acutally holiday weather...
Why, thank you. I must practice my evil cackle, in case I ever make it to a full professor...
Trouble is, I'm not sure *what* to do my Master's in.
Welcome back to Oz!
Kyra Posted Dec 18, 2008
Yeah. We've got a half day today, so me and a couple of girls are going for a swim after work. Already got my bikini and beach clothes on.
Welcome back to Oz!
Malabarista - now with added pony Posted Dec 18, 2008
Now you're just teasing me!
I had to bring the laundry I was drying down from the attic today, because the water wasn't evaporating, just freezing...

Are you still around? Not seen you in a while!
How's it going?
