My mother just called to tell me that the cat died, the house is a mess (and feels very empty) after having visitors stay over for a month, I'm nowhere near as far as I should be with my Uni project, can't pay next semester's tuition, and have to go to the doctor tomorrow so they can threaten me with more tests. But otherwise fine!

How're you? Got net yet? Job going well?

Well, I passed my exams, but still no wiser as to the medical stuff, so I guess that's a so-so

Nope, no net at home. No nothing, really. I've been spending my weekends catching up on my reading and sitting in the spa. Not a bad life, really.

That doesn't sound too bad, no. How's work going? Getting better?

Much better. I should have my first placement next week (officially). The guy's getting a $278K package, of which we can change 15% of $218 000, which is $32700 I think, for the company. I get commission off that, but cos it's my first placement I'll only get $1500. If I triple it in this quarter I'll end up getting nearly $20K.

It is, isn't it? There's no guarantee I'll get that, of course, and if I don't make placements the base wage kind of sucks, but that's alright, it's enough to live on.

Well, as long as it's that... And I'm sure you can get a raise with more experience, no?
