I got two bottles of wine and a voucher to a teeny-bopper# store from work ... but that's alright, they probably sell accessories that I could maybe use for work. And the best thing I've gotten so far was a teddy bear that I saw in the chemist and made a big fuss of, it's really cute. And another co-worker got me a cheesecake! smiley - smiley That's the first birthday cake I've had since I was three, and I got to take home the leftovers smiley - smiley It's really yummy.

# ie a store that sells clothes that only pre-pubescent girls and anorexics can (a) fit into, and (b) be seen dead in.

smiley - laugh A teenybopper store, eh? What were they thinking? smiley - winkeye

smiley - cool about the bear and the cake, though...

BTW, have you finished Fray yet? smiley - smiley

Yeah, I'm severely lacking in nice work clothes.

Yeah, I do, it's hard to put down after you pick it up.

Without going into too much icky detail, my monthly visitor turned up a lot heavier than normal, bringing its friends nausea, cramps and the d word I can't spell, so I spent a few hours on the loo with a bowl, or lying in front of said loo, freezing and sweating and dizzy and trying not to puke. My mum had bad problems too, as did her mum. They both had fibroids and had to get a hysterectomy. Seeing as I don't ever want kids, I'd like to get one too, but no doctor would let me seeing as how I'm young and stupid and I'll probably change my mind smiley - rolleyes That was too much icky detail, wasn't it?

smiley - laugh I like to make things last. You can only read/see something for the first time once.

Yeah, I thought I'd be in bed all day today, but it's mostly abated, just the pain now, which I can handle. When I was growing up I'd have that kind of reaction nearly every month, but I haven't had it in a long time. It probably didn't help that I'd had quite a bit of alcohol last night either.

Anyway, do you want to play at all today? smiley - smiley

That's good. Is it part of a series or a stand-alone thing?

That's okay. I was thinking of wandering to the shops to get something to eat anyway. And maybe look at the teeny-bopper shop smiley - winkeye

The book you've got is the complete series - IIRC it consisted of eight monthly issues. But it has interesting connections with Buffy S7 and Angel S4, which were broadcasted at that time. The scythe, for instance, was first seen in 'Fray'. smiley - smiley

That said, there is also a short Fray story in "Tales of the Slayers", set after the events in your book, and she'll also figure in the Season 8 comics (in paperback #4, which is due out in a little over a month smiley - bigeyes).

smiley - ok Hope you'll find something fun. smiley - smiley
