Actually, the money will probably go towards moving my bed and kittens over there I was counting on the money from selling my scooter to pay for that, but that's gone. That's okay though, at least I won't have to borrow money from my mum.

Don't worry, I'm pretty good with money. I won't buy anything unless I love it and it's cheap. Otherwise I'll do without. My mental budget is $300, which is still expensive for me. And if I get one I'll keep it in my apartment when I'm not using it.

Don't want to sound overly concerned - but the *one* crime that was and is rampant here in Amsterdam is bicycle theft... I don't have a bike myself, but over the years, when walking home from the radio or scrabble, the number of junkies trying to sell me a freshly-stolen bike has been considerable... I just felt you can do without another loss of something valuable and handy.
