h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Well, I don't have the time or the knowledge of GuideML to carry out all my ideas, but here they are . . .

Societies for each region of the United States--we can plan regional meets, talk about our home with people from H2G2 who plan to move or visit, and link to the appropriate Guide entries. I may start work on the Southeast Regional Society after school is over.

A radio station--I know that there are pirate radio sites on the net that will let anyone broadcast. We need a way that H2G2 members can submit songs they want played and then have someone put a couple hours worth of streaming music up each day that could be accessed via real player, win amp or windows media. Anyone else for a soundtrack of H2G2. The symphony, chorus, the mosh pit, and Lil's atelier, etc., etc. could also each have a stream of music appropriate for those places there.

A central place for people to come to ask questions, suggest ideas for H2G2, advertise new societies/sites, and discuss meets. I know we are anarchic, but we need a sort of nerve centre.

Okay, I've found Inspire Fire, The Post, and Community Soapbox to be useful for some of these issues.

But I still want to see streaming radio & a SE US users group!

Also, how about entries on anthropology, archaeology, and museology?

More entries on authors, good books, etc.

A list of H2G2 MUDs, the ones that aren't on the club list, like Lil's Atelier, the Museum of Natural History, etc.

US education vs. UK education

Getting into grad school, getting into college, applying for fellowships, internships, and scholarships (US & UK versions)
