Huge backlog is a relative term that encompasses both time and space. Although I only had a total of about two hundred postings to read through (I don't know where you got the idea that I only had a backlog of ten to read...), I had allotted myself fifteen minutes to be on-line. So, in that amount of time, 200 or so is a huge backlog.

The one in which I had the most catching up to do was "The Most Boring and Banal Thread on h2g2." Contrary to its name, it is a fairly fascinating conversation. People just sort of drop in and out to say what they're doing, how their day is going, and what the weather is like in their part of the world. I think I had a couple of hundred postings to catch up on just between that one and the "What can we blame 2legs for?" thread. I don't know who in the heck 2legs is, but I've been having a grand time following his antics.

Oh, I generally know who 2legs is,... I meant I don't have any personal, non-hootoo knowledge of him. You're right, though, that I see him everywhere.

That's what YOU say. When *I* say backlog, I mean the number of postings that have occurred in each conversation between the last time I posted and my current sign-in. And when I posted the other day, saying that I had an enormous backlog, it was in the hundreds of postings. I reiterate; that's a lot to read in fifteen minutes, especially given the (slow) speed of my computer.
