No.....I have good friends though.smiley - smiley
No lover and an empty heart.
I was not made for this.

Cheer up. You never know what tomorow might bring.
No matter how much you think you know, that statement is infuriatingly impossible to refute.
I used to try to argue that point with a very good friend of mine, but I don't anymore.
I certainly hope I meet someone soon, I need to experience some love (and sex).

Not sure whether I'm OK or not. I think it's coming up to 'major life change time' again...smiley - tongueout! Being in love is good. Having being in love being ignored, or unseen, by the person you're so busy falling in love with is little more than a pain - make sense so far?

I think that such postings as the one which inspired this one are a good indicator of unstable mental state, implying hypo in many cases. That's why blood tests might be necessary...smiley - winkeye!

Techy errors I can deal with - not so good at heartache, though...

Wow, you really speak my language Hypoman.
I do know exactly what you mean.
Suspected unrequited love is even more difficult to deal with than confirmed unrequited love. It is very hard to know when to try to hold on, and when to just say to hell with her she is rubbish etc.
not sure about you being a mental though. If you are then I probably am too.But I dont think so.
Are you coming to the london meet. If you are I think I would like to say hello.

Love to, but remote posting is probably as close as I'm going to get, this year...smiley - winkeye! I'm in Canberra, unfortunately for me - or for my English friends, I guess!

Glad to hear we speak the same language...smiley - smiley. Suspected unrequited love is the thing I'm dealing with here, on a big scale. Mind you, it's somewhat less distracting than usual, which is helping.

You're definitely not mental, which means I mustn't be either. I don't know - all my excuses fading away...smiley - tongueout!

Yikes! Canberra? Isn't that in Australia?
There aren't that many places (on Earth) which are actually further away than that are there?

You are probably older than me (I'm 28) so with respect and deference to your greater experience of life, I thought I would just mention my philosophy on love (and blowing it usualy).
I seem to always think that it is better to try too hard and risk blowing it, than be too cool and let someone feel undervalued and unloved. I would not be at all surprised if this is totaly the wrong way to go about things as I still have one ex girlfriend that is hot for me who I have persistently treated coolly.
Women do seem to regard men that are too caring as weak and less valuable. I personaly am single despite being able to get pretty good first dates some times.
I seldom seem to get past that stage though.
I supose basicly, I can live with trying and failing easier than I find not trying, even though I think putting the brakes on might be just what is needed.
Burning Love by name ............

Hi GB.
I think Seven of Nine is a pretty OK GA.
I also think I may have possibly been a teeny bit annoying to her. Not sure about that by any means, I may be being a bit oversensitive.
I think I'll just wait and see. I don't know what to do.

Isn't the country in a mess at the moment!
Transport is on its knees, the weather has gone all Biblical and the fuel protesters continue. I feel qute aware of not knowing anything usefull just now.
Still I had a good(ish) day at work today. I'm a motorcycle mechanic (or Technician) for BMW.
I remember from your page that you "crunch work units for berkely ed." I dont understand what that means. Do you still do that? are you some kind of teacher or something?
Do you go to work or stay home?
Do you like the expensive donuts that you get in flashy petrol staitions? My favorite is the bow tie, with an Exspresso (probably spelled it wrong) even though I'm not suposed to eat sugary things, sometimes I try to bluster my way through life by having nice things, when what I realy want is not things at all.
Theres nothing like thinking to make me feel,....beneath the task of comprehending the world. I like to think about the boundless nature of Universe to reassure me that as much as I hurt sometimes, it is all as a germ cell dividing on an agar plate. and oblivion will surely replace the most temporal illusion of life......................

I say Universe rather than The Universe because it seems to me that the UNI part of the word UNIVERSE would preclude there being any factor imposed. How does that sit with you? I know it is a bit pedantic, but I hate sloppy syntax. I expect mine is quite iritating to some people. Must go now, running out of white space to type onto.

Hi again all!

Yeah, I'd heard that the country you're in is in a bit of a bad way, at present...smiley - sadface!

BL, don't go calling 'the Universe' just 'Universe' in articles you want to be edited - that could lead to some major editing problems...smiley - winkeye!

Hi There Hypoman.
Yeah, I know it's a bit picky, I will drop the idea about Universe.
Maybee It made sense in latin or something.
What is Canberra like, and what do you do there if you don't mind me being nosey?

I don't much mind you being 'nosey' at all - you're remarkably pleasant about it compared to some I run into face-to-face!

Canberra is 'capital-city-esque' in the same way as Washington D.C. - very clean, very quiet, full of monuments and (reputedly) quite boring. There's a big article on it in the 'Guide somewhere, although I can't remember the address.

I'm a library contractor, currently looking for a career change - preferably something to do with health and fitness, such as (in the short term, at least) a fitness instructor. Combining the two career paths - information worker vs. health and fitness worker - is probably not quite as difficult as some people think...smiley - tongueout!

Well good luck with that.
I wonder what time it is for you?
It's 2046 here, and my Lasagne is going crispy at the edges (I may also be hypo) and I'm quite hungry. But not for long!
