Yup, the Lass, or there's that little room in the Rain Bar we took over whilst waiting for the Peverill to open. They've got a nice yard if the weather is good, too. The new Weatherspoons (on Princess Street) had at least one pretty quiet room last time I was there, but it was earlyish. And it's a bit like drinking in a bank. Oh, the Bank on Moseley Street - is that still there? Used to be quiet early doors.

Depends how many of us there are and what night/time we choose - central Manchester isn't famous for quiet pubs on a Friday/Saturday night. Early doors Saturday isn't too busy, though, or early evening on a Friday, between the after-work crowd and the night-time crowd.

The Smithfield (next to Band on the Wall, and opposite a damn fine kebab shop) is pretty quiet, if a little scruffy. Several bloody good ales, though. I seem to know too much about all this. smiley - erm

If none of that sounds like it might fit the bill I'll just have to undertake some research! smiley - smiley
