for saying happy birthday, this will be a great present for him!Nice to meet yet another Ace, I'm pretty new to this & have had a lot of help from mine VIP! I've volunteered to become one myself, plus points are I'm naturally chatty & have enough spare time (usually); minus points are I'm a bit of a technophobe (but learning fast the hard way!)
Love the "lurker" picture, I'd like one mysef but fear the mysteries of GuideML elude me at present.

Guide ML is no biggie - if you pop along to the <./>GuideML-Clinic</.> you can learn all about it there.
If you fancy the 'Lurker' badge you can just copy the code from my page. Here's what to do - first of all you have to edit your page, and at the bottom you should choose GuideML instead of plain test. The stuff you've already done should format automatically with all the necessary bits of code and tags.
Then to copy the badge, go to my page and replace the letter 'U' in the address with 'testuserpage' - or you can just follow this link - http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/testuserpage155846.
Better still, just copy and paste this into your page -
Un
Official h2g2 Lurker
but it's worth knowing how to do it so you can see how other researchers build their pages - it's a good way to learn GuideML.
