I thought I'd better ask you here as you seem reticent to answer on the "Beam Me Up" thread.....smiley - winkeye

It was nice to meet you, and beat you at pool smiley - winkeye and thanks for adding me to your list of "met" Researchers, I've just added you to mine.smiley - hug

Hope to see you again soon,

I wasn't really being reticent - I'd meant to post a reply, and I got distracted and forgot all about it.

No - she hasn't really complained that it smiley - tickles, although she's occasionally commented that it's scratchy smiley - yikes! What made you wonder? She says she likes it.

It's a pity you had to leave for your train on Saturday - she did put in an appearance later - the first time! Erm, well, not the first time she's ever appeared anywhere - that would be smiley - silly - just the first time she's turned up at an h2g2 meet.

It's perhaps not quite in the same class, but I've just evicted half a garlic bread from the takeaway which has lingered forgotten on top of the kitchen cupboard (and therefore out of the way of the smiley - dog and smiley - cat) for over a week! smiley - smiley

Granny has lots of plans for further meet-ups - hopefully we'll be able to catch up again soon. smiley - smiley

Ooh, by the way - you were the first person to speak to me on h2g2! You Aced me on October 7 2000. smiley - wowsmiley - biggrin

What a memory!

I had to leave when I did, I wasn't home till midnight as it was, it was the last Cleethorpes train.

I wondered because it smiley - tickled me, I've kissed men with beards before, but none have tickled me.

I did not say I didn't like it.

smiley - winkeye

I can't make Alton Towers next week, but I'm hoping to make the next London one. Hopefully we'll clash over a pool table again sometime.

Oops, I forgot, don't mention the pool.

smiley - doh

Aha - I see. I keep my beard trimmed fairly close, maybe that's what makes the difference. I've never kissed a man with or without a beard, and don't intend to start, and I don't know any bearded ladies, so I'll have to take your word for it. smiley - bigeyes

I can't make Alton Towers either, because I'm off on my hols so I won't miss it too much, and I'm unlikely to go to London. But there'll be more! smiley - smiley

What pool? No - not talking about that. smiley - winkeye

I think the next official meet-up is in January, but I can't swear to that.

Have a good holiday!smiley - hugsmiley - smooch
