Hi Jimi!
It does seem like years and years ago now though! So much has happened! Hasn't it grown? Whatever happened to that little iddy-biddy website we used to run? Awww...

LOL.
I reckon it went corporate along with all the staff?
So are you guys still on Summer Time or are you just working late?

It's 7pm here. Just going home now. We changed over to winter-time over the weekend. At least we got an extra day in bed after the Dutch meet!
Us, corporate?! Wash your mouth out with soap Mr X!

Have a good night then.
Corporate? What else do you call somebody who's still in the office at 7pm?
...
Oh, that's right - a sucker!

Tired? Or ?
btw: A little Pennsylvania trivia - it is impossible to become hungover when attending a meet-up here.
In all seriousness, I've been very impressed at how you've all remained while working in such a serious environment (or at least what I perceive to be such a serious environment).

Okay, you've got me.
Staying here, well it helps to have a funky boss!
It's a bit difficult at times, you're right, it is a serious environment, but I think they appreciate that h2g2 is a bit of a special case. It works because it's and unusual. Mark really has had a profound influence on the site and the way things are done. I think we're alright until he goes, but he'd be hard to replace, if we had a new serious Editor it might change. And that'd be a real shame. I think I'd .
So we'll just have to keep Mr Moxon here then won't we? Chain him to his desk or something!

Funny, I was watching an American football game the other day and I swear one of the players was named Mark Moxon.
I meant to ask him about that...
Moonlighting?
Oh, and speaking of the moon - is coming up soonish.

My brain and I simply don't get along some days...
It was the movie 'Varsity Blues' and the one player had a jersey with 'Moxon' on the back. I only tuned in for the final 'big game' sequence. I think his name was Jonathan instead of Mark. But it was late at night and I had a bit of a head cold and was pretty well medicated at the time...
Still, it made me laugh quite a bit to see our fearless Editor leading his team down the field...

Football player? Did he have really short hairy legs?
The moon thing. You know I said that this morning... I thought the site was feeling a bit moonish, you know how you can just tell!

Probably a good idea Jimi. Medium should do it. He's been updating his personal website - always a bad sign!

Don't tell me he's getting the wanderlust again?
Where's the next stop, Africa wasn't it? And to think he missed the try-outs for 'Survivor Africa' for American television...

Yes, it happens all the time. Once a travel writer always a travel writer, or so he says!
Yes, Africa appeals to him. It's also huge so it means he can go for years and have a good excuse! He isn't actually planning to go right now though, he's just pontificating about it.
Key: Complain about this post
