Crikey, you hven't had a message since New Year Taz.... We'll soon alter that.

Well hey there Air
Thanks for the message
Norway, eh?
I did have some reindeer stew for dinner on the friday night. It was... thick (you could stand your spoon in it) Tasty enough though
Went to a whaling museum. They're big on whales (or 'hval's) over there.
Saw Europe's only floating chapel Not quite sure why it's so great but was nice enough
Didn't ski, it was far too hot! There was a heat wave while we were over there. We had to travel in full uniform including kilts so we were absolutely melted
Went swimming in a natural lake on Saturday - was FREEEZING! One extreme to another! There were beavers in their as well. Had to watch they didn't try to "nibble on our nachos" as my Scout leader put it Went canoeing the next day in the same lake. Was rather fun: we pretended to be pirates YARR!
Oh, slept in a bivouac on the Saturday night as well. Bit squashed with eight of us in there but nice and warm
Anyhoo, I must be going as it is almost hungry time. Tell you more later if you like
Bubye now

Must apologise for not getting back sooner Taz, kept missing this one cos some numpty forgot to put a title on the original post
Anyhoo, the trip sounded fantastic especially the thick reindeer stew. They must have to look very hard for a reindeer who's thick enough to WANT to go into a stew.
Funny, you never think of places like Norway having a heatwave. I bet you lot all went prepared for arctic conditions, and all the locals were in t-shirts and shorts. Good to see you upholding the honour of the Scots though, by wearing the kilts. I didn't realise that Scottish scouts did that, good idea.
My Archaeology tutor spends a fair bit of time in Norway (visiting relations, not digging holes in the snow) and he's said the same thing about the lakes though. He said you jump in and go Arrrrrgggghhhhhhh it's cold........then look up at the mountains with the glaciers feeding the lake, and think, well........it would be wouldn't it Never said anything about his nacho's being nibbled though, he must have been lucky
Glad you had a most excellent time Taz,(Hval of a time) always a pleasure to hear about your latest adventure mate.
See ya.
