Live And Loud

Well, the whole band thing seems to be working out pretty well, the guys like me and I like them, the songs sound pretty good and I can keep in tune and make myself heard above the instruments.

In fact I am slightly nervous because apparently we are entering some kind of competition and therefore playing live in front of people!!!

If anybody is local to Nottingham, England and free on the 18th of September then I wouldn't mind a bit of support at "The Works" in Nottingham city centre.

In fact more than support It'd be good if everybody could make lots of cheering noises and appreciative sounds while Call Me Jack are playing.

Call Me Jack

Okay, so my name isn't Jack but the band I tried out with last night is called "Call Me Jack". They play pretty rocking twiddly guitar music, reminds me a bit of Live and Blind Melon in some ways.

Anyhow, they seemed to like me and like my singing and guitar playing so it looks like I am now in a fully formed band with real members...rather than imaginary ones like in some of my previous bands!

I'm very happy about this and by the look of it we're going to get some stuff together pretty quickly and start gigging around Nottingham.

Ecology

My wife Deanne is an ecologist.

Last week we were relaxing one evening chatting about work. She was telling me what she would be doing later that week.

"...I have to plan some work on some sites tomorrow and I have a crayfish training course on Thursday!".

"Are crayfish easy to teach then?".

It seemed funny at the time!!!
