Sorry when you're on internet rations, and it's not a big issue, but if you do have a second there's a 'squat' in Fisi that Trin rightly (by 17,800 to 626 googles) said should be 'squatted' that I completely forgot after saying I'd change it.

Should we be wishing you luck for a new department, or do you not really want to move?

More AWW-type writing will be something to look forward to, anyway. Not to discount EG entries - I just don't get down PR very much.

I managed to log on from home at least once each day I was off this week, can't say I'll be able to do that *every* week... (but I hope I get to do it often!)

The work thing is tricky. I've been in my current position for nine years (as of today, as a matter of fact). It's time to move on, but it's a matter of finding something I'd like to do, that I'm also qualified to do. It seems like even the most lowly and mundane positions require a degree these days, and I haven't got one. There was a position open last fall that I would have *loved* to land, that I was uniquely qualified for, that would have been ideal - but someone else got the job because they looked better on paper. I keep hoping she doesn't work out because one of the interviewers told me I was the second choice.

But I really should start looking for something else.
