Hi, it's great to see the entries on the FP - and for such a long weekend at that.
Pity you didn't manage to send photos to the eds, though.
Btw, you're featuring (well, sort of) yet another article, you can find it here:

Thought I'd let you know.
I've managed to buy some shot glasses - well, I hope they are shot glasses , now it's only the postcard that's missing.
Have a great Easter

What a very nice article Thanks!
I read your archive, too. I wish I had the inspiration and discipline to write a column, I've been trying to for years (my Post badge is for archive work).
They did eventually get the pictures on the Uni project. I only had photos for the first three pages. One of these days I plan to get photos for the rest.
You have a happy Easter, too!

I've just seen the photos, they're great.
So that's what Nats was doing online in the middle of the night last night.
The photo for Missouri reminds me very much of the film I once watched, with Clint Eastwood and Maryl Streep, I think it was. Yes, I just looked it up, it was called: The Bridges of Madison County.
A google search for the latter came up with many Madison Counties, but apparently, the one with the bridges is in Iowa.

To be honest, that wasn't really my plan, I thought I'd write a few and see how it goes. I don't think I'd have gone on for much longer, I have the feeling that the few people who read it are bored. I guess that's similar to the 90% of my friends who unsubscribe from my journals the moment I write them.
But now gave me an archive, and a badge, and I feel I have to go on writing something to deserve it, so I'll struggle on as long as possible.
Fortunately, there are two weeks between editions, and I have a whole more day off work since my boss reduced my hours, so I should hopefully manage to write something every two weeks.

I have a thing about bridges. I realised when I got home that day that about half of the pictures I took were of that bridge. The rest of the pics are on Yahoo, there's a link on my page somewhere.
For awhile I thought I might be able to keep up with a parenting column, but I almost immediately lost interest in that, too. Well, I didn't lose interest so much as lose my free time - babies do that. He's almost two now, maybe I should try it again.

Only two? He'll need your whole attention for a few more years then. My boys are grown, they're 18 and 15, which means they were 14 and 11 when I joined hootoo. Fortunately, they can go to see friends, or to the movies etc now without needing me to drive them and stay there with them. That really took much of my time, but they're grown enough now to leave them on their own for a weekend even. (So far, we've only done that once, though, and there was their granny coming to look for them every day. )

The baby will be two in three weeks, but the older one will be 12 in June. The big age difference means he's old enough to be a help with the baby. As a matter of fact he's babysitting this morning (I'm at work). He pops in here from time to time, uses the name broe jr. He's restricted from the computer right now though for not keeping up with his chores.
The age difference is nice, but occasionally I wonder what I was thinking when I realise I'll have a teenager and a toddler at the same time

I don't think it can be much worse than having two teenagers at the same time.
At least, yours aren't going to fight over things - something my boys did the whole day yesterday, resulting in an back of the eldest, and one broken headset.
I'm only glad I'm not yet menopausal, that would really make things unbearable I think.
Key: Complain about this post
