Odd bits, what's been happening and so on.

The South German meet turned out really really well. It's so nice being able to start straight away in the middle of a conversation with someone and not have any embarrassing small talk and introductions to get over first. This is what will happen to society, it is a far cry from what we were brought up to.
Actually, I could boast and say I had a blind date with four blokes, but that only occurred to me over a week after the event.

And how is the subeditting doing - I hear you all cry!
Well, I'm working on my first batch. But I've found other things to do in the meantime and keep going off track. One of the things I did was join the Procrastinator's Society - http://www.h2g2.com/A431911

Who's a busy girl then? I have had another idea and actually realised this one: See the Weight losers thingy.
GerManiaConnection is hard work, hope people cooperate and send me their new entries. Or do they expect me to click on 60 people's home pages every week to see if they've produced anything new?
No work as a SubEd yet. But my name will soon be up in lights as my German Bread is "pending" - as of yesterday (29 Nov) Let's see when it hits the headlines.

Not another one

O God - now I've promised someone I'll write an entry on all those awful usages the Germans have for English words which, when an English person hears them , they would have no idea what the German person is talking about.
anyone know any more?
I used to have a long list in my head, but never wrote it down.......
