If I had a Marauder's Map of Europe, it would have shown my family all over the place last weekend. My husband was cycling along the Moselle with friends, eldest son and his wife were visiting my mother in England, middle son was in North Holland, youngest was home from Berlin. Yesterday I phoned No. 2 and No. 3 and they were in their respective trains back home - No. 2 near Hengelo on the way to Osnabrück, No. 3 on the way back to Berlin.
In a couple of weeks I'll have to get a MM update to include Canada and the States, No. 1 is off to Quebec....

That's a great idea, to imagine the locations of your family membersand where they move to on a marauder's map.
Hehe, would be nice to have one showing me where my sons are.

I had Rog on a Marauders Map once!
When he was doing the Calums Road motorbike trip to The Gambia, which involved going through Mauritania - a country the Foreign and Commonwealth Office has advised "do not travel", due to a number of kidnaps of tourists. We (the WAGs) only let them go if they had GPS spot trackers on their bikes - these devices let us see exactly where the bike was, real time. It was SO good, I could even tell they were going round the Arc de Triomphe, rather than the Peripherique.

Never thought of GPS tracking that way before, but that's exactly what it's like!
What is it they say about technology being indistinguishable from magic?

I use endomondo when out running, it allows my friends to see exactly where I am. Not sure that's a good thing though

Actually...
*shouts into lounge*
Rog uses "Find Friends" (only on iPhone 4) to see how close to home I am, and when to put the dinner on!

Today No 1 is flying back from San Francisco whilst No 3 is having a rest at his grandmother's in Suffolk and No 2 is clearing up after his birthday party in Osnabrück.
We've been phoning each other about who is where and when at Christmas. Herding - it doesn't stop when they're 30!
