My name is dim26trav and I am from the Pacific Northwest. I have been on this board now for over a year and find there are times when I just stay away but not now. Have you seen the movie "Hitchhikes Guide to the Galaxy"? Did you like it?

In my neck of the woods the audiences were spare and showings were few and I dont think it will stay much longer. I hope it does well enough to justify a second movie, but guessing by the ticket sales it will not.

Give us a little more of your likes and dislikes, as much of your personal history that you're willing to share, so the people who inhabit this website can compare notes and share memories. This site does bring out the imagination and the writing genes so give it a whirl. It is all about the sharing so come on and dish it out.

There is a strain of insanity here though, it flows with the tides so if you are witness to some craziness it's OK no need to worry.

Hi there, yes. I saw the movie, and I liked it. But I know what you mean about the poor sales, I hope the small party of loyalists will justify them making The Restaurant at the End of the Universe.

The only real way for this to happen is for all of us to see this movie multiple times and I just dont see that happening. Oh Well!

Did you see the BBC series or hear the radio dramas??

The BBC showing was what interested me in the first place. I have since read all the books including all of the Dirk Gently series.

no, I just read the books. I didnt even choose them, my mom got them for me for my birthday, i thought they were good so i just ate my way through them. I wouldn't mind hearing the radio shows though.

What others have learned is that each of the different versions, from television to radio to movie is different slightly. The books were not the original medium so the variations sometimes throw some of the people for a loop.

yea, i can see that. There's not too much that could be that different i suppose.
In the Movie, did you like the extra stuff (like the trip to Vogsphere)? I did.

Have you ever done any reading of the guide here at the BBC? You know that you can add your own entries!

I've written a few, my latest is on John Wycliff.

yea, I read a little of it, it's so vast that one can not expect to ever encompass the entire collection of trivial knowledge
