Oh it's not that so much...god knows i'd go crazy by now if the repetition got to me, what with how many times they're playing those claymation Rudolph movies 
. I guess it's the fact that the holidays dredge up all kinds of unwanted sentiment and the fact that not everyone has an angel bother to come and tell them that their life is in fact worth living

Just finished showing How the Grinch Stole Christmas to my student Alvaro - he loved it! And I gave him a copy of the book to take home. As usual I had tears running down my cheeks at the end. . .

Yipee! I just talked to my American friend Eric who has a VCR that plays both American and European videos. He is going back to the States for Christmas and so I asked him if I could borrow his machine while he was away. So I will be able to watch my old Christmas videos from Canada over the holidays, which includes the Alistair Sim Christmas Carol as well as A Charlie Brown Christmas.
Anyhow, bless him, Eric said he was just on his way out (he lives two minutes from here) and said he would drop off the VCR in about five minutes!

Please don't send the dvd! I just received a lovely package from you yesterday with presents in it - really, that is quite enough. Thank you, honey! And such pretty wrapping paper too. Am quite excited about opening them up on Christmas morning.
