it works well for us. I get someone to do the wasnhing up. He gets a cook. He can laugh at my lack of plumbing and electrical knowledge, I get to laugh when he asks if it's okay to throw mouldy things in the compost bin.

Hmm, I'll settle for getting someone in to do plumbing and electrical if it means my CD collection is left unmolested and the books stay where I put 'em and just oh goddammit, I'm just a misearble basterd and I quite like being on my own.

As of today, I get four days out of twelve on my own- Bruce started a new job today - four days days, fours days nights, four days off. The four days he's on nights, he'll have left by the time I get home....
Peace. Peace to watch what the Hell I like, even if it is tacky and old. Peace is piss about on the net all night if I want to. Peace to just eat a bowl of noodles at midnight....

It's a long a slippery slope that I can testify to having seen in action.

Nah, it's not a problem- when Bruce was driving the van (rather than the lorry) I was frequently on my own 'till gone midnight, so I've done it before.
