We get along pretty well about PC access, actually.
His formula 1 obsession is worse than that - he has informed me that the tv is booked from 12 midnight friday to 12 midday saturday in order that he and his similarly obsessed girliefriend can watch the *qualifying*.
I mean, really, it makes the average trekkie look good...

12 hours of things whizzing 'round in cirles? Send them potty it will...
At least things *happen* in Trek. Rallies, I can see the appeal of, Motorcross, okay. F1? *why* in God's name?

Qualifying is worse, It's things whizzing round in circles *on their own* against the clock. For 12 fecking hours!
Things happen in Trek. I submit the Motion Picture as proof against this comment...

It's not rightto mock the afflicted though is it? Oh it's Shatner we're talking about...
I adored Tim Allen's oh so accurate portrayal of our William in Galaxy Quest...

Personality wise, he was spot on. Like Blair's however, the man's acting style is almost impossible to caricature, because it virtually is all ready!

There were a few bits in the film where I thought Allen had really got it down. The boys at Futurama clearly had him mind when creating Zap Brannigan as well...
Of course, Bill is method, so yes, he like most other method actors, does look like a walking caricature.

Zap Without a doubt a Shatner clone. It's unfair to pick on the man quite so much mind, if you look at the first two series of Original Trek, *none* of the actors are very good at their chosen trade...

Oh indeed not. But it's still fun. The funny thing is I have seen Bill in some things that don't suck.
There are some Twilight Zone episodes - 'Demon with a Glass Hand', and the original of 'Demon at 20, 000 feet', an episode of the ray Bradbury Mystery Theatre 'The Playground', and an old and not at all often seen Corman pic, 'The Intruder', in which he is excellent...

Possibly, though The Playground post dates Trek by some time.
On the other hand, TJ Hooker is the sort of thing that makes Fred Dryer in Hunter look like sophisticated entertainment...

As mentioned, at least in Formula 1 we have some crashes. Whereas in tennis nothing happens at all. We don't even get to see players do spontaneous human combustion, that could have made it interesting.

One last gasp Blues?
Not interested in tennis either, so The only sports I'll watch on TV are the afore mentioned motor sports and rugby. Not even remotely interested in the rest.
