what?who?why?where?when? where shall we have lunch?
Monadnock. Term used to refer to; 1. A solitary mountain. 2. A southern hemispherian freelance guide researcher currently inhabiting the West coast of New Zealand.
At times you may find yourself living in a vast city, or even a not so vast one, and be thinking 'what the hell am i doing here?'
this is a good question.
indeed, why are you? and if you have no idea why then you really need to find a good answer.
I asked that very question, and taking on board a large number of varied aspects of the situation decided to move to a smallish town on the unfashionable western coast of the country.
Its got a better sky for looking at stars.
its got an extremely low probability factor for terrorist activity.
some aspects of life are cheaper, some aren't.
overall, i think i like it.
Ive seen a couple of huge metropolis cities, I've crossed a desert, which is about as completely opposite as you can get.
I done some travelling, yay for me.
I've added enough things to my system to have expanded my conciousness, and probably decay a few braincells. that was all fun, pan galactic gargle blaster anyone? closest i found was some vile concoction called a cajun kicker that had me from sober to 'walking difficulty' drunk in 15 minutes and passed out shortly afterward. not bad for one drink.
I digress. from what im not sure.
anyhow, this isnt my autobiography, its a bunch of random stuff.
start at the top, Monadnock. a geological term that refers to a solitary mountain, distanced from any other mountain or mountain chain. not volcanic, just there. I thought the word sounded cool so ive used it as my secondary handle for years, since before there was internet!
yes long time ago.
another cool term i found was 'whirling psychrometer'. yes i know what it means, but you can ask me if you cant be bothered finding out for yourself.
Defenestration. sounds nasty, but its probably worse the higher up you are.
there you have it, not a lot in far too many words, maybe i'll change it around sometime
